About the Job
We are seeking a "Forecasting Systems Leader" to lead forecasting capability across the Produce business. In this role, you will be responsible for driving forecast accuracy, improving forecasting processes and building capability within a team of specialists. Working closely with Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations and Technology partners, you will ensure high-quality forecasts that support product availability, minimise waste and enable better business decisions.
You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, champion data-driven decision making and help shape the future of forecasting through new tools, processes and ways of working.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract.
You will also:

Lead and develop a team of forecasting specialists, providing coaching, direction and technical expertise.

Drive improvements in forecast accuracy through robust forecasting methodologies, performance analysis and continuous refinement.

Monitor forecasting performance, identify trends and implement initiatives to improve forecast quality and business outcomes.

Partner with Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations and Technology teams to align forecasting assumptions and respond to changing business conditions.

Translate data and business insights into actionable forecasting recommendations that support inventory, availability and waste optimisation.

Lead forecasting process improvements, governance activities and capability uplift across the team.

Support the implementation and optimisation of forecasting tools, systems and reporting to enhance planning effectiveness.

Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on forecasting priorities and outcomes.
About You and Your Skills
You are an analytical and collaborative leader with experience in forecasting, demand planning or supply chain planning. You combine strong technical capability with commercial acumen and enjoy using data to solve complex business challenges. You are comfortable leading teams, influencing stakeholders and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced retail environment.
You will have:

Experience leading teams within forecasting, demand planning, supply chain planning, retail planning or commercial environments.

Demonstrated experience improving forecast accuracy through data analysis, forecasting methodologies and performance management.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into business actions.

Experience working with forecasting systems, planning tools and data-driven decision-making processes.

The ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations and Technology functions.

Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

Experience leading process improvement or change initiatives within planning or forecasting environments is highly regarded.
