Overview
Are you a passionate people leader with a strong background in Workers’ Compensation and a drive to make a meaningful difference? We’re looking for an experienced Medical Program Lead to join our Workers' Compensation leadership team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the delivery of medical measures across our business, ensuring outstanding outcomes for Injured Workers, Employers, and clients. Leading our MLER and Medical Review teams, you'll have the opportunity to influence claims strategy, inspire high-performing teams, and drive continuous improvement across the function.
How you'll make an impact
As our Medical Program Lead, you'll be responsible for:
Daily Management: Providing day-to-day leadership and support to your teams, ensuring the delivery of a professional, responsive, and customer-focused claims service.-
Relationship Building: Developing and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with staff, WorkSafe, Employers, and Service Providers.

Innovative Solutions: Collaborating with your teams to identify and implement innovative solutions that enhance claimant and client experiences.

Performance Analysis: Monitoring and analysing team performance trends, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions where required.

Goal Setting: Creating and delivering individual and team business plan goals that align with broader company priorities.

Risk Management: Embedding risk management into all business functions to minimise adverse impacts and maximise opportunities.

KPI Achievement: Driving improved claims management outcomes while ensuring adherence to SLA requirements.

Skill Development: Leading meaningful, career-focused conversations that support learning, development, and long-term success within your teams.
About you
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
Experience: Previous Workers Compensation Insurance experience with a strong understanding of section 99 / 224 of the AC and WIRCS Acts.-
Knowledge: Strong scheme knowledge and experience with demonstrable knowledge of general medical and like policies and a thorough understanding of the Clinical Framework.

Leadership: Proven client relationship and engagement experience at a leadership level.

People Management: Strong people leadership, management experience, and the ability to motivate, coach, and inspire others.

Recruitment & Development: Experience recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing individuals.

Analytical Skills: The ability to identify patterns or trends that require corrective action across people and operational performance.

Qualifications: A tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
