Full Job Description

Your new role:
As a Food Services Officer, you'll play an important role in supporting patient care by ensuring therapeutic and dietary meals are prepared, coordinated and delivered safely and accurately. Working within a collaborative hospital environment, you'll help maintain high food safety standards while providing excellent service to patients and clinical teams. Key responsibilities include:

Coordinate and provide therapeutic and dietary food services.
Maintain food safety, hygiene and quality standards.
Manage stock, inventory and waste effectively.
Use hospital systems including CBORD and Microsoft Office.

About you:
We're looking for someone who is organised, customer-focused and enjoys working in a team within a healthcare environment. You'll bring:

Experience in food services, hospitality or a hospital environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety and stock management practices.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Good computer skills with the ability to learn systems such as CBORD and HBCIS.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.

We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.

We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
