Your new role:
This position works 16 hours per fortnight, on Mondays only. You will lead a high-performing pharmacy operations team and help shape the delivery of safe, innovative and patient-centred pharmacy services at QEII Jubilee Hospital.
Provide operational leadership for the Pharmacy Department, overseeing dispensary services, medication inventory, purchasing and supply functions to support high-quality patient care.
Deliver advanced clinical expertise and strategic advice while leading governance, medication safety, quality improvement and research initiatives across the service.
Lead, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary team of pharmacists, pharmacy assistants and administrative staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning and continuous improvement.
Drive service innovation, workforce planning and operational excellence by implementing contemporary pharmacy practices, ensuring legislative compliance and supporting strategic service delivery.
About you:
You are an experienced pharmacy leader who combines advanced clinical expertise with strong operational and people leadership to deliver exceptional healthcare outcomes.
Registered as a pharmacist with AHPRA, with extensive experience in hospital pharmacy operations and advanced clinical pharmacy practice.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams, workforce planning, service delivery and operational performance in a complex healthcare environment.
Highly developed communication, stakeholder engagement and change management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence positive outcomes.
Passionate about continuous improvement, medication safety, research and innovation, with a proven ability to implement new models of care and lead quality improvement initiatives.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
