Full Job Description

Construction Administrator – Full Time

We are a busy construction company based in Liverpool, NSW, seeking a reliable and organised Construction Administrator to join our office team.

This position is ideal for someone with strong administration skills who is comfortable managing construction paperwork, following up with consultants and keeping project documentation organised.

Key duties include:

General construction administration and office support
Preparing and organising project documentation
Managing emails, phone calls and correspondence
Liaising with builders, subcontractors, consultants, engineers, certifiers and councils
Assisting with DA, CDC, CC and Occupation Certificate documentation
Uploading and managing documents through the NSW Planning Portal
Following up outstanding certificates, reports, plans and approvals
Keeping project files and records organised and up to date
Preparing letters, forms, spreadsheets and basic reports
Assisting with subcontractor documentation, invoices and purchase orders
Booking inspections and following up inspection requirements
Tracking project approvals, deadlines and outstanding items
General administrative duties as required

What we are looking for:

Previous administration experience preferred
Construction or building industry experience is highly regarded
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and email
Strong organisation and time-management skills
Good written and verbal communication
Able to work independently and follow up tasks without constant supervision
Attention to detail and willingness to learn
Experience with the NSW Planning Portal, councils, certifiers or construction documentation would be an advantage
Previous experience in Class 2 building projects is highly desirable
Knowledge of Design and Building Practitioners requirements
Experience managing regulated designs, design declarations and compliance documents
Familiarity with the NSW Planning Portal and Class 2 documentation
Experience coordinating with registered design practitioners, engineers, certifiers and consultants
Understanding of documentation required for CC/CDC, construction stages and Occupation Certificate
Experience preparing and following up as-built documentation, certificates and final OC requirements

Position details:

Full-time
Monday to Friday
Approximately 9:00 am to 4:30/5:00 pm
Approximately 35–40 hours per week
$33–$35 per hour, depending on experience
On-site position
Liverpool NSW 2170

We are looking for someone dependable who can become an important part of our team and help keep our construction projects and paperwork running smoothly.

About the role
This position is being created to support the business while our current Construction Administrator prepares to take maternity leave. She will remain available to assist with handover, training and support where possible during her leave, and will return to the business after maternity leave.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to learn the company’s systems and projects directly from her before and during the transition.
