The Role

Australian Laboratory Services Pty Ltd is seeking a part-time Accounts Payable Officer to join the Accounts team of their subsidiary, ALS Metallurgy, in the northern suburbs of Perth. Part Time hours for this role is Monday to Thursday 9:00am to 3:00pm.

Suitable applicants will need a minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar roles and ideally have a basic qualification in accounting.

The day to day

Reporting to the Finance Manager and working alongside another accounts payable team member, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Processing day to day supplier invoices, ensuring the required authorisations and items of documentation are in place.
Attending to queries with internal and external stakeholders with a high degree of courtesy and professionalism.
Assisting with supplier pay runs.
Processing supplier credit account applications in line with ALS procedures.
Maintaining of supplier accounts and records to a high standard.
Performing end of month supplier account reconciliations.
Assisting with any other required tasks.
Compliance with regulatory and ALS policy requirements for Health, Safety and the Environment.

The essentials

The successful candidate will possess the following additional skills and abilities:

Pronto 780 experience is desirable, but not essential.
Strong Excel competency.
Good interpersonal, communication, organisational and time management skills.
Great attention to detail and be highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work to tight monthly deadlines.
Good literacy, numeracy, and computer skills.
Alignment to ALS core values and culture.
