WIRTGEN AUSTRALIA seeks a permanent, full-time Financial Accountant to join the finance team.
This role will be based at our branch location in South Guildford, WA.

Key Responsibilities
- Timely and accurate month end closing and JD reporting for US GAAP including reconciliation and Manual Voucher reviews;
- Timely and accurate Statutory Reporting as well as managing internal and external financial audits;
- Business Partnering to the local management including Profitability and Variance Analysis;
- Key management support for business insight and performance;
- Budgeting and forecasting as required by the Group Holding or local management with the Chief Financial Officer;
- Preparation of ATO tax lodgements for Year End Income Tax Return, FBT, GST, Withhold Tax and Transfer Pricing Schedules;
- Preparation of year end consolidated statutory financial statements for ASIC lodgement with required disclosure notes and necessary schedules with updated Australian Accounting Standard;
- Reconciliation Reviews and completion in line with EOM Processes;
- Assistance with Financial and Internal Audits;
- Business Case Development;
- Used equipment, machines and parts valuations co-ordination and management;
- Insurance Policy Management;
- Corporate Traveller Account and contract management;
- Responsible for locally required finance related compliance topics like ASIC and NZ Company Office;
- Assist the CFO with any other ad-hoc requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- CPA or CA qualified;
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role;
- Experience with a large ERP system, SAP is desirable;
- Previous exposure to the Sarbanes Oxley Act and requirements;
- Advanced computer skills including Advanced Excel proficiency;
- Excellent communication skills, proven ability to convey information in both verbal and written formats as appropriate for the needs of the target audience;
- The ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Must be able to work under pressure and to a deadline;
- Clear problem solver, proven ability to apply logic or reasoning to review information, identify problems, their causes, evaluate options and select the best solution;
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, including high attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will also need to complete and pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing and obtain a police clearance.
