About this position
This position works within a small and effective team, providing support with the daily management and processing of invoices and issuing payments in accordance with the City's policies, procedures, and relevant legislation and standards.

In this role, you will

Manage the day‑to‑day processing of invoices and issuing of payments

Reconcile creditor statements and resolve outstanding issues

Create and process payments accurately and on time

Liaise with suppliers regarding invoices, credit notes, and related matters

Assist internal business units with invoicing and purchase order queries
What we are looking for
To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:

Previous experience in an accounts-related role

Strong and accurate data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail

Clear and confident verbal and written communication skills

Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines under limited supervision

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a broader financial services team
Essential requirements

Current Police Clearance (less than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role, but it will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
