Full Job Description

Mad Over Italian is looking for an experienced and dependable Executive Chef to oversee the kitchen operations of our two busy Gold Coast restaurants.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can maintain excellent food quality, lead and develop kitchen teams, control costs, and create consistency across both venues.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee kitchen operations across both restaurants
Maintain food quality, presentation and consistency
Lead, train and support other chefs and kitchen teams
Manage food costs, stock control, ordering and wastage
Assist with menu development and seasonal specials
Maintain food safety, cleanliness and compliance standards
Support recruitment, rostering and kitchen performance
Work closely with the owners and venue management team

What We Are Looking For

Previous experience as an Executive Chef, Group Chef or experienced Head Chef
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent food-cost and kitchen-management knowledge
Ability to build a positive, professional and accountable kitchen culture
Experience with Italian cuisine is highly desirable
Multi-venue experience is an advantage
Reliable, organised and comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment
