Business Support Coordinator

Location – Parramatta, Sydney (Hybrid)

Employment type – Temporary appointment (until May 2027)

Salary – Clerk Grade 5/6 - $102,936 - $113,579 per annum + Leave Loading + Superannuation

Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) delivers professional correctional services and programs to reduce reoffending and create safer communities. We house remand and sentenced inmates in correctional centres and supervise offenders serving orders in the community.

Your role

The Business Support Coordinator provides a broad range of administrative services and operational support to the Sentence Management Directorate which includes Sentence Management Operations (SMO), Statewide Classification and Placement team (SWCPT), Aboriginal Classification and Placement (ACPT), AV Strategy and Business Links (AVSBL), Serious Offender Review Council (SORC) Secretariat and the Business and Operational Support Team (BOST).

The role also undertakes a range of customer services-based activities with internal and external stakeholders including coordination of corporate, legal and inmate enquiries within the directorate and compiling information for and prepare response to correspondence in line with quality and organisational requirements, to support information flow and inform decision making.

What you’ll do

Provide day-to-day administrative support to help the team run smoothly and meet its goals.
Answer questions and resolve issues, making sure people receive accurate information and problems are dealt with quickly.
Organise and maintain records, ensuring information is accurate, stored correctly, and easy to find when needed.
Keep office systems and processes up to date so the team can work efficiently and follow organisational policies and procedures.
Collect information and prepare documents, reports, and other materials to support business activities and decision-making.
Take part in performance and professional development activities and carry out tasks efficiently to support the team's operations.
Manage a busy shared inbox, ensuring emails are monitored, prioritised, and responded to appropriately.
Deliver high-quality administrative support while managing competing priorities and client requests in a fast-paced, high-volume, and legally regulated environment.

What we’re looking for

A current NSW Driver Licence and the willingness to drive as part of your duties
Demonstrated experience in an administrative and/or support service role, ideally within a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel, with the ability to confidently manage high volumes of emails, documents and data with accuracy
Exceptional attention to detail, with experience in maintaining accuracy and quality when working under pressure and within tight timeframes
High-level organisational skills and time management skills, including the ability to prioritise competing demands, manage frequent interruptions and meet deadlines
