Business Support Coordinator

Location - Parramatta (Flexible Working Arrangements to be considered)

Employment type – Ongoing full-times role

Salary - $116,981.00 - $129,492.00 pa, plus superannuation and leave loading

Your role

As a Business Support Coordinator, you will provide senior operational oversight within the Conduct Unit, ensuring governance, committee administration, reporting, and workflows are delivered accurately and in line with legislative and integrity requirements across DCJ and CSNSW. Whilst supervising a small team this is a great opportunity for a highly organised professional to contribute to the efficiency and integrity of key business operations with a high level of autonomy and applying sound judgement, in a complex public sector environment.

What you’ll do

As a Business Support Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing operational business support activities for the Conduct Unit, ensuring workflows are delivered accurately, consistently, and within required timeframes. It involves planning and facilitating Conduct Committees across DCJ and CSNSW, including scheduling, preparing agendas and papers, recording minutes and decisions, and tracking follow‑up actions in line with governance and confidentiality requirements. The position acts as a key contact for committee logistics while supervising and guiding support staff to prioritise workloads, maintain quality standards, and build capability through coaching and knowledge sharing. Day‑to‑day work also includes maintaining accurate case management records, coordinating operational actions, liaising with internal stakeholders, identifying risks or inefficiencies, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across business support processes and systems.

In the Conduct Unit, you will be part of a dedicated team that works to uphold the values and ethics of DCJ. The team works to support all staff and the broader People Branch and ensure that all DCJ staff provide the highest level of service to all clients, including the most vulnerable members of the NSW community.

In addition to the essential requirements outlined in the role description, the ideal candidate will be self-motivated, a critical thinker with ability to identify and escalate issues as required. The candidate shall have experience in coordinating operational support in a sensitive and confidential environment.
