At Uniting, we're looking for an inspiring and strategic Area Manager to provide operational leadership across a portfolio of Early Learning services, including Long Day Care, Preschool and OSHC services. About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Early Learning, you'll lead and support a portfolio of Service Directors and Coordinators to achieve strong operational, compliance, quality, people and financial outcomes.
You'll work closely with the Early Learning Leadership Team to translate strategic priorities into practical action, ensuring services deliver exceptional outcomes for children, families, communities and employees.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coaching Service Directors and Coordinators across multiple sites
- Driving occupancy, financial performance and sustainable growth
- Supporting services to achieve and maintain compliance with the National Quality Framework and relevant legislation
- Managing child protection matters, quality improvement initiatives and service performance
- Building positive, high-performing and engaged teams
- Supporting business development opportunities, new services and strategic projects
- Partnering with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen service delivery and community outcomes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Degree qualifications in Early Childhood or a related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience within the Early Childhood sector
- Previous experience as a Director of an Early Childhood service
- Experience leading operations across multiple services or sites
- Strong people leadership, coaching and change management capability
- Sound knowledge of the Australian Early Childhood sector, funding models and legislative requirements
- A passion for delivering high-quality outcomes for children, families and communities
- Exceptional relationship-building, communication and stakeholder management skills
