Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a Category Manager to join our team in Sydney or the Gold Coast. In this role you will be responsible for leading the sourcing initiatives across a portfolio of Facilities and Services Solutions categories within the Pacific region. This role is pivotal in driving cost effectiveness, supplier performance, risk mitigation, and value delivery across our supply base. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver impactful procurement solutions to our hotels and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and drive multi-year category strategies for laundry & linen, energy, guest entertainment, and housekeeping labour hire, delivering measurable cost, quality, risk, and sustainability outcomes.
Lead end to end sourcing and contract negotiations, managing supplier performance, SLAs, and continuous improvement to ensure value for money outcomes
Identify and mitigate category risks, ensuring supplier compliance with WHS, modern slavery, and regulatory requirements across the Pacific region
Build strong partnerships with hotel GMs, Operations Directors, and cross-functional teams to ensure strategies are practical, adopted, and aligned with hotel needs
Embed sustainability targets into supplier selection and performance, supporting Accor's broader ESG commitments

Qualifications

5+ years' experience in category management or strategic sourcing, ideally within hospitality, facilities services, or a comparable services category.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field.
Proven experience in global sourcing or managing international supplier networks.
Understanding of ESG, sustainability, and responsible sourcing practices.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and deliver practical outcomes
Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills across senior and cross-functional audiences
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to balance commercial outcomes with operational needs
Results-oriented and data-driven approach to decision-making
Strong risk awareness and compliance mindset, particularly in regulated or complex operating environments
