About the Role
We are seeking a Manager of Procurement & Supplier Management to partner closely with business units and project teams across the organisation. In this role, you'll provide hands-on support and guidance to develop and implement procurement sourcing strategies that optimise cost, quality and service levels, while ensuring supplier management, due diligence and reporting practices meet regulatory requirements.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to play a key role in strategic sourcing, supplier governance and regulatory compliance, including APRA CPS 230, within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives from development through to contract and commercial negotiations and award
- Help the business maintain robust supplier governance, due diligence and performance management, including APRA CPS 230 compliance
- Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the vendor management system
Key Accountabilities
Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance throughout the procurement process
- Identify value and cost-saving opportunities, and negotiate favourable terms and pricing with suppliers
Supplier Governance and Performance Management
- Support stakeholders in maintaining sound governance and processes for supplier selection, onboarding due diligence and ongoing oversight
- Establish performance standards and evaluation processes to assess and report on supplier activity, including progress, results, satisfaction, value and cost
Procurement Framework, Policies and Systems
- Monitor and report on compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, including CPS 230
- Support the design and implementation of end-to-end vendor management and procurement systems
- Drive continuous improvement of the procurement framework, policies and supplier templates
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on risk-related initiatives in procurement and supplier risk management
Key Capabilities Required
- Strong experience in procurement concepts, processes, activities and strategies
- Solid negotiation and category management skills
- Experience with Supplier Governance and APRA CPS 230
- Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to influence constructively
Preferred Capabilities
- 7+ years of experience working in Procurement
- Financial Services experience highly beneficial
