Role Overview:

As a Travel Agency Manager, your primary focus will be to oversee the operations of our travel agency, ensuring exceptional service delivery and maximising sales performance. You will lead a team of Travel Sales Consultants, motivating and guiding them to achieve sales targets and provide outstanding customer experiences. A crucial part of your role will be the recruitment, training, and development of staff, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading and overseeing the overall operations and strategic direction of the travel agency.
Developing and implementing business plans and strategies to achieve company objectives and targets.
Managing financial aspects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.
Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, such as travel suppliers, partners, and clients.
Analysing market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats in the industry.
Recruiting, training, and mentoring staff members to ensure a high level of professionalism and service quality.
Setting performance goals and KPIs for the team, monitoring progress, and providing guidance as needed.
Driving sales and revenue growth through effective marketing, pricing strategies, and product offerings.
Developing and maintaining operational policies, procedures, and standards to ensure efficiency and compliance.
Handling escalated customer issues and complaints, seeking resolution, and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions.
Staying updated on industry regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.
Utilising technology tools and systems to streamline operations and enhance customer experience.
Analysing data and metrics to evaluate performance, identify areas for improvement, and make informed decisions.
Representing the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and promote services.
Monitoring and managing risk factors, such as safety, security, and legal liabilities, to protect the company’s interests.
Fostering a positive work culture and environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

3+ years experience as a travel agency manager or Diploma or Higher plus 1 year of experience.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience in staff recruitment, training, and development.
Multilingual skills are a significant advantage.
