Permanent Part-Time (0.6 FTE – 22.8 hours per week) Flexible working arrangement – 3 days per week or alternative hours across the working week by mutual agreement Adelaide, South Australia

Direct Care Australia is seeking an organised and proactive People & Culture Officer to join our growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to support our workforce across South Australia and Queensland by providing administrative and operational support throughout the employee lifecycle. Working closely with the People & Culture Manager and leaders across the organisation, you will help ensure our people are supported, our workforce remains compliant, and our HR processes run smoothly.

About Direct Care Australia

Direct Care Australia is an established provider of community health, aged care and disability services across South Australia and Queensland. We are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred services supported by a capable workforce, strong governance and a culture of continuous improvement.

As our organisation continues to grow, we are looking for a People & Culture Officer to support our employees and leaders while contributing to the ongoing development of our People & Culture function.

About the role

Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, you will provide administrative support across a range of People & Culture activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

Support the employee lifecycle by coordinating recruitment, onboarding, employment changes and offboarding activities.
Prepare employment contracts, letters and People & Culture documentation.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
Monitor workforce compliance, including licences, qualifications and mandatory checks.
Coordinate mandatory training and maintain training records.
Assist with probation reviews and performance review administration.
Prepare workforce reports and support compliance activities.
Respond to routine employee and manager enquiries.
Support employee engagement initiatives and People & Culture projects.
Provide general administrative support to the People &

About you

To be successful you will have:

Experience in a Human Resources, People & Culture or administration role.
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Experience using Microsoft Office, Excel and HR information systems.
A collaborative approach and willingness to support a busy team.
National Police Check and relevant worker screening clearances (or willingness to obtain).

Desirable

Certificate IV in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
Experience within the disability, aged care or community services sector.
Experience using Employment Hero or a similar HR information system.
Knowledge of employment compliance, onboarding and workforce administration.
