Junior Sous Chef - Australian Hotel & Brewery

Sonnel Hospitality is hiring a Junior Sous Chef for Australian Hotel & Brewery. Working with front of house management and marketing to grow the businesses reach through various platforms, as well as communicating with our other venues team.

The Australian Hotel & Brewery is a cornerstone of the Rouse Hill community, offering a unique blend of modern amenities and traditional hospitality. Established with a passion for craft brewing, our on-site brewery is the heart of our venue, producing a range of award-winning beers that reflect the flavours of Australia. Located just 40 minutes from Sydney’s CBD, we’ve become a favourite destination for locals and visitors alike.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen management
Strong leadership and communication skills
A passion for creating exceptional dishes and running efficient services
Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and consistency
Leadership qualities, with the ability to train and motivate a team
A composed personality that works easily with others
Good knowledge of cost control, stock management, and food safety standards
Attention to detail and creativity in menu planning & dish creation
Someone who loves food and hospitality

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar role
Ability to motivate a kitchen brigade
Excellent organisational and communication skills
A commitment to maintaining high standards in food quality, cleanliness, and OH&S compliance
A genuine passion for the industry and continuous learning
