Full Job Description

What you'll do

As the Systems Administrator, you will manage user access requests and provide first-level support for Surgery Connect users, while coordinating second-level support activities through close collaboration with technical teams to ensure timely and effective resolutions. You will proactively identify and manage project risks, engage with key stakeholders to support successful outcomes, and build strong relationships that facilitate effective communication, change management, and stakeholder engagement. In this role, you will liaise with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including the Department of Health, Hospital and Health Services, other government agencies, professional groups, consumers, families, carers, and community organisations. You will prepare high-quality briefings, reports, presentations, submissions, and other project-related documentation in accordance with Queensland Health policies and procedures, while demonstrating capability in the use of a range of electronic systems and providing operational support and training to users. In addition, you will contribute to a positive workplace culture by actively supporting employment equity, workplace health and safety, ethical behaviour, and inclusive human resource management practices, while undertaking other duties as required.

About you

We are searching for someone who has:
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of medical terminology used to deliver patient-centred activities would be highly regarded.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with database utilisation and patient management
Experience, skills and knowledge of departmental financial and administrative processes, with a proven ability to actively participate in business improvement initiatives that deliver more efficient work practices.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a range of activities with conflicting
Provide general administrative support functions across the team that contributes to organisational goals and objectives.
Identify development opportunities and strive for continuous improvement and support risk and issue identification, assessment and mitigation activities by ensuring risks and issues are documented, reviewed and escalated as appropriate.
Other duties as required by the Manager or Director, Surgery
