About the role:
As A Principal Technology Officer, you will provide high level technical direction, support and advice to maintain defined enterprise service levels in one or more technology domains.
Your key responsibilities include:
Maintain defined enterprise service levels by providing high quality technical expertise, support and administration whilst adhering to departmental standards, policies, procedures and ITSM processes.
Provide support and assistance in the clarification and prioritisation of tasks by ensuring assigned priorities are met in accordance with defined enterprise service levels;
Assist management in the decision making process by preparing technical reports, specifications and trend analysis within the unit;
Provide expertise to progress the installation and configuration of hardware, firmware and software as per departmental frameworks.
Manage ICT assets by ensuring changes and relevant information is recorded accurately.
Role fit:
You will bring strong technical expertise in database and technology services, with the ability to quickly learn and apply ServiceNow and ITIL service management processes across incident, problem, change, test and configuration management. Experienced in supporting complex technology environments, you will provide specialist advice and solutions across Oracle databases, operating systems, application servers and related infrastructure technologies. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will enable you to identify and implement effective solutions that meet service standards and business needs. Supported by excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, you will work collaboratively with technical teams and customers, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a service-focused environment.
