Downer has been awarded the Property and Asset Services (PAS) contract to deliver base and estate services across their two largest regions NSW/ACT and QLD. This is a significant milestone for our business and our enduring 80+ year relationship with the Australian Defence Force.

We’re inviting applications to join our permanent workforce at Gallipoli Barracks, Enoggera as a Refrigeration/HVAC Technician. We’re committed to building a workplace where everyone feels respected, valued, and empowered to contribute.

What You’ll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

Perform scheduled, preventative and corrective maintenance on refrigeration, air conditioning and HVAC systems.
Carry out refrigerant handling in accordance with ARCTick licensing obligations
Provide professional and timely responses to internal and external stakeholders
Work collaboratively with other trades and subcontracts to support operational delivery

What You’ll Bring

Certificate III Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
ARCTick Refrigerant Handling licence (desirable)
QBCC Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Licence (QLD), or NSW Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Licence
Post-trade experience in refrigeration, air conditioning and HVAC maintenance
Demonstrated expertise in fault diagnosis and repair of refrigeration and HVAC systems
Current Open Drivers Licence
Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship is mandatory).
