Permanent Full Time
Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9-day fortnight
$77,483 per annum (LGIA Stream B Level 5 + Site) + Superannuation

Your new role

Join the team that builds and maintains the backbone of our rural region

Council is looking for a proactive and reliable Plant Operator/Labourer to join our Rural Operations team!

You’ll carry out general civil construction labouring tasks, including pipe laying, concreting, level checking, bitumen/road works, along with operation of a pneumatic-tyred road roller (over 8 tonne). The role involves working across rural sites, travelling between locations, and supporting a close-knit team delivering essential regional infrastructure.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

What we are looking for

Extensive experience operating a Road Roller, working in rural areas and an unrestricted “MR” Class licence (HR desirable).
Demonstrated attention to detail, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and in a team.
Demonstrated ability to identify, report and resolve safety hazards to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Certificate of Competency and hands on experience operating mobile plant
Experience utilising hand tools to complete construction tasks (spanner, wire brush, level, measuring tape, line sprayer etc)
