About the Role
Join our team and play a vital role in constructing and maintaining the road network and infrastructure that keeps our communities connected.
As a Plant Operator/Labourer, you will safely operate and maintain a range of plant and equipment while contributing to the construction, maintenance and improvement of Council roads and assets. This hands-on role offers variety, teamwork and the opportunity to make a visible impact across the region.
Key Responsibilities

Operate and maintain plant, equipment and machinery in accordance with manufacturer specifications and Council procedures.

Perform daily servicing and maintenance checks to ensure plant remains safe, reliable and operational.

Assist with the construction and maintenance of sealed and unsealed roads and other Council assets.

Undertake general labouring duties as part of a multi-skilled team.

Carry out site preparation, clean-up and general maintenance activities.

Set up, maintain and remove traffic control signage in accordance with approved traffic management plans.

Operate hand-held power tools and equipment safely and effectively.

Complete required inspections, records, checklists and documentation.
