Case Worker

The Beacon, Homelessness Services WA

Permanent Full-time

Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:06pm

When someone arrives at The Beacon, they often carry the weight of crisis, exhaustion and uncertainty. This role gives you the chance to be the steady, compassionate presence who helps them feel safe enough to breathe again. As a Case Worker, you walk beside people who are rebuilding their lives from incredibly difficult circumstances. You offer dignity, hope and practical support at a time when it matters most. Your work can change the direction of someone’s future and help them rediscover their own strength.

About the role

This Case Worker position provides person centred and strengths-based case management to individuals and couples experiencing homelessness throughout their stay at The Beacon. You will work with people facing complex challenges including chronic homelessness, trauma, family breakdown and parenting pressures. You will help clients develop self-focused case plans that support safety, stability and long-term wellbeing.

You will collaborate closely with case managers, support workers and external services to ensure clients receive holistic and integrated support. Every interaction is an opportunity to empower someone and help them move toward a safer and more secure future.

This is a permanent full-time role working Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:06pm. Pay is in accordance with SCHADS Level 5 and reports to Team Leader Client Services.

How you will make an impact

Build warm and trusting relationships that encourage self determination

Provide case management in line with TSA models and standards of practice

Complete ongoing assessments of client needs, risks and circumstances

Develop collaborative case plans that reflect each client’s goals and strengths

Support clients to access services, community supports and advocacy pathways

Monitor, review and adjust case plans to ensure they remain effective

Identify service gaps and contribute ideas for improvement

Participate in client events and activities that support engagement and wellbeing

Maintain accurate and respectful client records using TSA systems

Adhere to WHS and TSA policies and procedures

What you will bring

A Cert IV minimum, Diploma level qualification desirable in Community Services, Mental Health or a related field

Experience supporting people experiencing homelessness or crisis

A calm and grounded presence in challenging or emotionally charged situations

Strong communication skills and confidence advocating for clients

A collaborative and team focused approach

Understanding of homelessness, its causes, impacts and systemic influences

Ability to develop, implement and review client led case plans

Knowledge of risk assessment, harm reduction and safety planning

Current WA employee Working with Children’s Check

Current WA Driver’s Licence

Current First Aid Certificate with CPR
