Full Job Description

The Fraternity Club is a vibrant hospitality and events venue with a strong reputation for exceptional service, memorable events and a welcoming club culture.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Functions Supervisor to join our team. We are seeking a motivated hospitality professional who thrives in delivering high-quality events and outstanding guest experiences. With a large function space catering for up to 500 guests, this hands-on role will oversee the setup, delivery, and pack down of a wide range of functions and events.

Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the high standard of service and presentation that The Fraternity Club is renowned for.

Duties and Responsibilities

Lead, supervise and mentor the functions team to deliver exceptional customer service
Coordinate the setup and presentation of function spaces to meet client expectations
Oversee the smooth delivery of events from start to finish
Host and engage with guests throughout functions and events
Coordinate food and beverage service timing with the kitchen team
Assist with pack down and post-event procedures
Ensure functions are delivered professionally, efficiently and to a high standard

About You

Passionate about hospitality and creating outstanding guest experiences
Previous experience coordinating and managing events/functions, ideally in a supervisory role
Proven ability to lead and supervise a team
Strong communication and organisational skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to anticipate guest needs and problem solve efficiently
Able to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced environment
Professional and calm under pressure
Flexible availability including nights, weekends and public holidays
Current NSW RSA Competency Card
Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

This is a part-time position with the opportunity to progress into a full-time role for the right candidate. There may also be opportunities for training and development in relief Duty Manager responsibilities.
