Manage complex dental care, build patient wellbeing and deliver high quality oral health services across Western Sydney communities.

Employment Type: Temporary Part Time (up to 02/04/27)
Position Classification: Dental Officer Level 2
Remuneration: $73.88 - $77.85 per hour
Hours Per Week: 25
Location: Mt Druitt Hospital Oral Health

Where you'll be working
Join the Mount Druitt Oral Health team within Western Sydney Local Health District, providing high quality dental services to a diverse and growing community. You will work alongside experienced clinicians in a supportive environment focused on collaboration, professional development and excellent patient outcomes.

Work within a modern and community focused oral health service
Collaborate with experienced Dental Officers and multidisciplinary teams
Access ongoing professional development, peer review and training
Deliver care across paediatric, adult and geriatric patient groups
Contribute to a culture of innovation, respect and continuous improvement

What you'll be doing
As a Dental Officer Level 2, you will provide comprehensive general oral health care and manage patients with more complex treatment needs across Western Sydney Local Health District facilities.

Deliver high quality oral examinations, treatment planning and patient care
Manage complex clinical presentations and provide preventive oral health education
Collaborate with senior clinicians and refer patients for specialist care when required
Maintain accurate clinical records and uphold infection prevention standards
Support junior clinicians and contribute to service improvement initiatives

Essential Criteria

Registration: Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Dentist.

Selection Criteria

Demonstrated sound clinical and diagnostic skills.

Experience in the management of patients with complex medical conditions and complex dental needs.

Ability to exercise independent judgement and problem solving in a clinical situation.

Excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with a range of individuals including the general public.

A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to a preventative / population health approach to patient care.

A demonstrated ability to work within a large team and independently.

A demonstrated commitment to continuing education.
