About The Opportunity
Oral Health Services is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Dental Officer Level 2 to join our team at Liverpool Oral Health Clinic.
This is an exciting opportunity to provide high quality, patient-centred dental care across a diverse and growing community. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, you will deliver comprehensive oral health services to eligible patients while supporting the District's commitment to improving oral health outcomes and reducing health inequalities.
As a Dental Officer Level 2, you will exercise independent professional judgement and provide a broad range of preventive, restorative and emergency dental treatments. You will regularly diagnose and manage varying levels of dental disease and oral health conditions, including patients presenting with more complex clinical needs.
An eligibility list may be created from this recruitment process and used to fill future permanent and temporary Dental Officer Level 2 vacancies within Oral Health Services for up to 12 months.

What You'll be doing
Working with a high degree of professional autonomy, you will assess, diagnose, treatment plan and manage a broad range of oral health conditions, including patients presenting with more complex dental needs. You will deliver preventive, restorative and emergency dental care and work collaboratively with oral health therapists, dental assistants, specialists and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical records, participating in quality improvement and clinical governance activities, and contributing to a culture of safe, patient-centred care and continuous service improvement.

SWSLHD Oral Health Services provide essential dental care to eligible residents across South Western Sydney.
Covering the local government areas of Bankstown, Camden, Campbelltown, Fairfield, Liverpool, Wingecarribee, and Wollondilly, these services include general dental care, emergency dental treatment, and specialised programs for children and vulnerable populations.
The team is dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care, ensuring that all patients receive the best possible treatment. How to Apply

1. Unrestricted registration as a Dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a minimum of 2 years clinical experience post Board registration.
2. Demonstrated ability to provide competent general practitioner dentistry for patients of all age groups including dental health problems of greater than usual difficulty and able to exercise independent professional judgment on routine matters.
3. Proficiency in minor oral surgery, denture prosthetics, endodontics and management of medically compromised patients.
4. Demonstrated sound clinical and diagnostic skills. Experience in management of patient with chronic medical conditions and needs. Commitment to the principles of public sector dentistry and sound evidence-based dental practice.
5. Demonstrated proficiency in both written and verbal communication.
6. Ability to work as a contributing member of a clinical team.
7. An understanding of current concepts in clinical practice and demonstrated understanding of infection control principles.
8. Demonstrated experience providing a customer focused service to ensure excellence in patient care
