Senior T&D Operations Manager – Welshpool and Forrestfield, WA
About the Role -
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead our Perth-based warehousing and transport operations across Welshpool and Forrestfield. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and profitable logistics services across a diverse portfolio—including general freight and Dangerous Goods—while building strong customer partnerships.
You will play a key role in shaping operational performance, driving continuous improvement, and developing future leaders within the business.
Key Responsibilities -
Leadership & Operations
Lead end-to-end warehouse and transport operations, including line haul and infield services.
Drive operational excellence, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and within contractual parameters.
Build a strong, high-performing team aligned to business strategy and objectives.
Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Safety & Compliance
Lead and promote a strong safety-first culture across all operations.
Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, Dangerous Goods handling, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee hazard identification, risk management, and incident investigation.
Participate in audits, safety inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Commercial & Performance
Deliver on financial targets through cost control, productivity improvements, and revenue growth.
Develop and monitor KPIs to measure operational and customer performance.
Partner with customers to enhance service delivery and identify growth opportunities.
Contribute to innovative solutions that integrate Toll into customer supply chains.
People & Culture
Develop talent and build leadership capability within the team.
Provide coaching, training, and performance management.
Foster a culture aligned with Toll’s values: Customer, Teamwork, Progress, Accountability, Integrity.
Ensure workforce capability, licensing, and compliance standards are met.
Essential Experience & Skills -
Extensive experience in supply chain, logistics, warehousing or transport operations.
Strong leadership and people management capability.
Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, multi-site operations.
Solid understanding of HSE requirements and regulatory compliance.
Financial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and drive profitability.
Strong problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
