CHEF– CHAIVERSE

Location: Shop 6/57–61 Synnot Street, Werribee VIC 3030

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 38 hours per week

Salary: AUD $76,000–$82,000 per annum plus superannuation

About Chaiverse

Chaiverse is a well-established hospitality venue located in the heart of Werribee, Victoria. We specialise in authentic and contemporary cuisine, delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service in a welcoming dining environment. Operating seven days a week, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our growing team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare, cook and present high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
Plan and assist in developing menus using seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Maintain consistency in food quality, taste and presentation.
Supervise daily kitchen operations and coordinate kitchen staff.
Monitor food preparation, portion control and kitchen workflow.
Ensure compliance with Australian food safety, hygiene and WHS regulations.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.
Manage stock, food ordering, storage and minimise wastage.
Train and support junior chefs and kitchen staff.
Assist with cost control and continuous improvement of kitchen operations.

Essential Qualification & Experience

The successful applicant must have:

Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and/or Diploma of Hospitality Management (or equivalent); or
At least three (3) years of full-time experience as a Chef; or
At least one (1) year of relevant experience together with the required commercial cookery qualifications.
Strong knowledge of food safety, kitchen operations and stock control.
Excellent organisational, communication and time-management skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Employment Benefits

Salary: AUD $76,000–$82,000 plus superannuation.
