Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to provide cleaning and housekeeping support to clients in Warrnambool. The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and hygienic environment while supporting the comfort and well-being of clients.

Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitise rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
Perform dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and general surface cleaning
Complete laundry tasks, including washing, drying, folding, and organising
Change bed linen and assist with maintaining tidy living spaces
Remove rubbish and ensure waste is disposed of appropriately
Assist with basic meal area clean-up, where required
Follow infection control and hygiene procedures
Report any hazards, maintenance issues, or concerns to the relevant team
Maintain client privacy, dignity, and respect at all times

Requirements:

Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred
Experience in aged care, healthcare, disability, or community settings is desirable
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, respectful, and professional attitude
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Current Police Check
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Driver’s Licence preferred, where applicable

Working Conditions:

Cleaners may work in a variety of settings, including aged care facilities, hospitals, community settings, and private residences. The role may involve standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying cleaning equipment for extended periods. Cleaners may be required to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays depending on client and facility needs.
