Chef de Partie – Full Time

The Hedonist | Collaroy, NSW

The Hedonist is a modern Australian restaurant located opposite beautiful Collaroy Beach on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Our menu is driven by seasonal produce with French technique and Argentinian influence, creating a dining experience that is both refined and approachable.

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Chef de Partie to join our close-knit kitchen team and work alongside our Head Chef.

About the Role

As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for running your own section while maintaining the high standards our guests have come to expect. You will work in a supportive environment where creativity, consistency, and teamwork are valued.

What We're Looking For

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or experienced Commis Chef ready to step up.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen organisation.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service.
High attention to detail and pride in presentation.
Reliable, punctual, and a positive team player.
Strong communication skills and fluent English.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Full Australian working rights or a valid visa with unrestricted work rights.

Responsibilities

Manage and run your designated section during service.
Prepare and cook dishes to a consistently high standard.
Maintain food safety and hygiene standards.
Assist with stock rotation and minimising waste.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
Help train and support junior kitchen staff when required.

What We Offer

Full-time position.
Salary between $60,000–$65,000 per year (including superannuation), depending on experience.
