The Hedonist is a modern Australian restaurant located opposite beautiful Collaroy Beach on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Our menu is driven by seasonal produce with French technique and Argentinian influence, creating a dining experience that is both refined and approachable.
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Chef de Partie to join our close-knit kitchen team and work alongside our Head Chef.
About the Role
As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for running your own section while maintaining the high standards our guests have come to expect. You will work in a supportive environment where creativity, consistency, and teamwork are valued.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or experienced Commis Chef ready to step up.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen organisation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service.
- High attention to detail and pride in presentation.
- Reliable, punctual, and a positive team player.
- Strong communication skills and fluent English.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Full Australian working rights or a valid visa with unrestricted work rights.
Responsibilities
- Manage and run your designated section during service.
- Prepare and cook dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards.
- Assist with stock rotation and minimising waste.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
- Help train and support junior kitchen staff when required.
What We Offer
- Full-time position.
- Salary between $60,000–$65,000 per year (including superannuation), depending on experience.
