Assistant Venue Manager – Entertainment Venue. Join the Team at iPlay!

Are you a passionate leader who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment? We are looking for an energetic and motivated Assistant Venue Manager to help lead our entertainment venue, featuring bowling, laser tag, arcade games, parties, functions, and a vibrant food & beverage offering.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves developing teams, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and driving business performance.

About the Role

As the Assistant Venue Manager, you will work closely with the Venue Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the venue. You will play a key role in leading the team, maintaining high operational standards, growing sales, and ensuring every guest leaves with a memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Venue Manager in all aspects of venue operations
Lead, coach, and develop Team Leaders and Crew Members
Deliver exceptional customer service and guest experiences
Drive sales through upselling, promotions, and team engagement
Manage labour costs and roster planning
Ensure food safety and venue compliance standards are met
Monitor venue presentation, cleanliness, and maintenance
Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory management
Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally
Support the execution of parties, functions, and special events
Analyse venue performance and assist in achieving revenue targets

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in hospitality, entertainment, retail, or leisure management
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
Strong organisational and time management skills
Experience with food and beverage operations is highly regarded
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
A hands-on leadership style with a passion for developing people
