Full Job Description

Elwood Dental Group is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join us for a 12-month Maternity leave position with view of extending into permanent in the future for the right candidate.

We have been a part of the beautiful Elwood Village community for 35 years, and are located 1 street away from the beach in the heart of a busy shopping strip with great coffee and public transport at our doorstep. We love having our locals walk by on their coffee run and give us a wave through the front window!

We pride ourselves and are known to the locals for being caring, empathetic, gentle and attentive to all our patients, whether they are coming in for a simple clean or a full-mouth rehab - this is where the woman's touch comes in! We look after and support each other, work as a team and always strive to have an all-inclusive, can-do attitude.

Qualifications & experience

Minimum 2 years of Australian Dental Assisting experience
Certificate III in Dental Assisting preferred
Reception and Oasis software experience preferred but will be taught to the right candidate

Tasks & responsibilities

chairside assistance in general dentistry, endodontics, implants, Invisalign, surgical extractions
maintenance of steri and clinic - ideal knowledge of Australian infection control standards is a must!
general reception duties, such as liasing with patients, invoicing, appointment bookings, answering phones etc. to stand-in when the receptionist is away from the desk

Salary: $35.00 – $42.00 per hour depending on position and experience
