Tamborine Mountain | Full Time / Part Time

At Muddy Matcha, we're building something a little different.

We're a specialty matcha bar connected to one of Australia's fastest-growing pottery studios, creating an experience where creativity, craftsmanship and hospitality come together. We're looking for a passionate Pastry Chef to help shape the next chapter of our café.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for producing high-quality pastries and baked goods while contributing new seasonal ideas and maintaining exceptional presentation and consistency.

You'll have the opportunity to help develop a menu that complements our specialty matcha program and become part of a small, creative team that genuinely loves what they do.

Responsibilities

Produce pastries, cakes, cookies and baked goods to a consistently high standard
Prepare products for daily service
Assist with seasonal menu development
Maintain food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
Monitor stock levels and ordering requirements
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Contribute ideas and creativity to our growing business

We're Looking For Someone Who

Has experience as a Pastry Chef or qualified pastry cook
Takes pride in quality and presentation
Is organised and works well under pressure
Enjoys working within a close-knit team
Is reliable, positive and eager to learn
Has a genuine passion for hospitality
