Casual Administration Assistant
Boutique Accounting Firm | Mascot, NSW

We are a busy boutique accounting and taxation firm located in Mascot, seeking a reliable and organised Administration Assistant to join our friendly team on a casual basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone returning to the workforce who has previous experience working in an Australian accounting, bookkeeping, or professional services office and is looking for a flexible role in a supportive environment.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the practice. You will work closely with our accounting team to ensure the smooth running of administrative and client service functions.

Key Responsibilities

Answering incoming client calls and directing enquiries appropriately
Managing incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence
General accounting and office administration duties
Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) via telephone and the ATO Agent Portal
Assisting with corporate secretarial administration and ASIC compliance matters
Maintaining client records and document management systems
Preparing and sending client communications and documentation
Providing administrative support to accountants and management as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

Previous experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, taxation, or professional services office preferred
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
A professional and friendly telephone manner
Confidence using accounting software and document management systems
The ability to quickly learn new technology and software platforms
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
