Senior Trust Accountant
Coombes Property Group
Bondi Junction, Sydney NSW
Accounting (Financial Accounting & Reporting)
Full-time | Office-based (5 days)

Salary: $110,000 – $120,000 + super (depending on experience)

With operations spanning Australia and international markets, we are focused on long-term asset ownership and growth.

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Trust Accountant to manage trust accounting functions across our property and investment portfolio. This role is responsible for financial reporting, compliance, and supporting strategic financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly financial reports for trust and corporate accounts
Review trial balances and ensure accuracy of trust transactions
Perform balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
Manage general ledger activities and accounting operations
Assist with statutory reporting, BAS, and tax compliance
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency

Skills & Experience

CA or CPA qualified (or working towards)
Minimum 4+ years’ accounting experience
Experience in property, funds management, or similar preferred
Strong knowledge of trust accounting principles
Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems (MRI desirable)
High attention to detail and strong analytical capability
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable

Experience within a private group or family office
Exposure to MRI, MyBuildings or similar systems
Big 4 background
