About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Trust Accountant to manage trust accounting functions across our property and investment portfolio. This role is responsible for financial reporting, compliance, and supporting strategic financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial reports for trust and corporate accounts
- Review trial balances and ensure accuracy of trust transactions
- Perform balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
- Manage general ledger activities and accounting operations
- Assist with statutory reporting, BAS, and tax compliance
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency
Skills & Experience
- CA or CPA qualified (or working towards)
- Minimum 4+ years’ accounting experience
- Experience in property, funds management, or similar preferred
- Strong knowledge of trust accounting principles
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems (MRI desirable)
- High attention to detail and strong analytical capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable
- Experience within a private group or family office
- Exposure to MRI, MyBuildings or similar systems
- Big 4 background
