CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay is seeking a passionate and experienced
Manager, Community & Day Programs to lead a diverse portfolio of disability services in Waitara and Pymble.
This is a unique leadership opportunity to shape innovative, person-centred programs while driving operational excellence, compliance, and sustainable growth across community and day-based services.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee a suite of programs including:
- Day Services (Waitara)
- Community-based programs
- Afternoon, Saturday & Vacation Care Programs
- Boonah Art Studio (Pymble)
You will directly lead two Team Leaders, an Administration Officer and an Art Facilitator, while overseeing a broader team of Disability Support Workers.
This role plays a critical part in:
- Designing and evolving services aligned with participant needs
- Strengthening operational and financial performance
- Ensuring compliance with NDIS Practice Standards
- Leading a high-performing, engaged workforce
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with participants, families, and support coordinators
- Lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of programs and services
- Drive workforce planning, rostering and recruitment aligned with service and budget requirements
- Ensure NDIS compliance, safeguarding, risk management and quality standards
- Monitor and improve financial performance and service viability
- Lead, coach and supervise direct reports and foster a positive team culture
- Identify opportunities for service expansion and new business growth
- Oversee incident management, reporting, audits and operational systems (e.g. Carelink)
- Champion a strong safety, wellbeing and safeguarding culture
About You
You are a confident, values-driven leader with demonstrated ability with a minimum of 3 years' experience in similar role. Strong commercial acumen and a passion for delivering high-quality outcomes for people with disability.
You bring:
- Proven leadership experience in disability or community services
- Strong understanding of NDIS funding, compliance and operational requirements
- Demonstrated experience in program design, service delivery and continuous improvement
- Excellent people leadership skills with a track record of building engaged teams
- Strong financial and operational management capability
- Advanced communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach
Essential Requirements
- Relevant degree qualification or equivalent experience
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle
- Current First Aid & CPR certification
- Working With Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
