Casual Catering & Styling Lead
Reports to: Founder & Creative Director, MOMENTI

Location: Sydney-based, with travel to event locations as required
Hours: Flexible and event-based, including weekends, evenings and occasional early mornings
Position Purpose
The Casual Catering & Styling Lead plays a key role in bringing MOMENTI events and experiences to life.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can take an event from planning and preparation through to styling, service and execution — confidently managing the details, the team and the experience on the day.
Working closely with the Founder & Creative Director, the Catering & Styling Lead will understand the creative vision for each event and take ownership of bringing that vision to life.
The right person will have a genuine passion for food, hospitality, styling and creating beautiful experiences. They will be equally comfortable developing an event plan, ordering produce, styling a table, directing a team, serving guests or jumping in to solve a problem when something unexpected happens.
Ultimately, we are looking for someone we can trust to take the lead and deliver an event to the MOMENTI standard.
Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Planning & Preparation
- Translate the event brief and creative direction into a clear plan for execution.
- Coordinate event requirements including food, produce, equipment, dinnerware, linen, florals, props and styling elements.
- Assist with ordering, sourcing and organising what is required for each event.
- Plan preparation, packing, logistics, setup and pack-down.
- Anticipate requirements and identify potential issues before they arise.
Catering, Styling & Execution
- Take the lead on the setup and execution of MOMENTI events.
- Prepare and oversee food presentation, grazing tables and catering elements.
- Style tables and event spaces in line with the MOMENTI aesthetic and event brief.
- Confidently make creative and practical decisions on-site where required.
- Maintain a high standard of presentation, hospitality and attention to detail throughout the event.
- Oversee pack-down and ensure MOMENTI equipment, dinnerware and styling pieces are handled and returned appropriately.
Team Leadership
- Lead and coordinate Casual Catering & Events Assistants during preparation and events.
- Clearly communicate responsibilities and expectations to the team.
- Create a positive, collaborative and enjoyable working environment.
- Lead by example and be willing to work alongside the team in whatever capacity is required.
- Identify what needs to be done and confidently direct the team without relying on constant guidance from the Founder.
Client & Guest Experience
- Represent MOMENTI professionally and confidently with clients, venues, suppliers and guests.
- Provide warm, considered and intuitive hospitality.
- Understand the importance of the small details and moments that shape a client's overall experience.
- Respond calmly and practically to changes or challenges during an event.
Experience & Capability
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, events, styling or a similar creative industry.
- Experience leading events, teams or service is highly desirable.
- Strong catering and food presentation capability.
- A genuine eye for styling, colour, composition and detail.
- Confidence taking ownership of an event from preparation through to completion.
- Strong organisation and time-management skills.
- The ability to think ahead, prioritise and make decisions independently.
- Confidence working in fast-moving environments where plans may change.
- A current driver's licence and ability to travel to event locations.
- Availability across weekends and flexible event hours.

General Responsibilities
Represent MOMENTI professionally and positively, maintain appropriate client and business confidentiality, handle company and client property with care, comply with relevant food safety and workplace health and safety requirements, and undertake other reasonable duties aligned with the nature and seniority of the role.
Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour
