Make a lasting impact by leading innovative finance training that builds capability across the Department of Education

About the role

As the Training Delivery & Coordination Lead, you will lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of engaging finance training programs that strengthen financial management practices and finance systems capability across a diverse range of stakeholders.

Working collaboratively with Finance teams and key stakeholders, you will identify capability gaps, develop targeted learning solutions and implement innovative training approaches that improve engagement, accessibility and learning outcomes. You will also provide expert advice to support strategic reform initiatives and help drive consistent, high-quality financial practices across the department.

About you

You're an experienced learning and development professional who enjoys turning complex information into practical, engaging learning experiences. You thrive in collaborative environments, build strong stakeholder relationships and are passionate about developing capability that delivers meaningful organisational outcomes.

You will bring:

Demonstrated experience designing, coordinating and delivering training programs for diverse stakeholder groups.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build partnerships and influence outcomes across multiple teams.
Experience developing innovative learning solutions using contemporary training methods and technologies.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial or technical information into clear, engaging content.
Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes.
A collaborative leadership style, with experience coaching, supporting and developing others.

Key knowledge and experience

Substantial experience in designing and delivering training and capability uplift strategies for a wide range of stakeholders
Demonstrated experience in the coordination and management of training and capability uplift programs
Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

Qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
