Provide support for applications that are vital to the NSW democratic process

About the Role

The Application Administrator implements the Client Support Strategy and provides second level support for the Commission’s business systems.

There are three ( temporary full time positions available until 30 June 2027, with possibility to extend.

About the NSW Electoral Commission

The New South Wales Electoral Commission delivers trusted and independent systems, processes, oversight and engagement that support democracy in New South Wales. Our vision is to maintain confidence in the integrity of the democratic process and make it easy for people to understand and participate.

Our work includes:

Running and regulating elections
Communicating and engaging with current and future voters, key NSW community stakeholders and NSW election participants; and
Investigating possible offences and enforcing electoral and lobbying laws such as the Electoral Act 2017 and the Electoral Funding Act 2018.

Key knowledge, experience and essential requirements

As the successful candidate, you will have:

ITIL V3 or V4 certification or equivalent skills and experience.
Experience managing and providing Level 2/3 systems administration support across a broad range of complex business systems.
Demonstrated recent experience in MS SQL Server and/or Oracle databases as well as IIS.
Experience using Azure technologies is highly desirable.
High level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise system support documentation and technical documentation.
Tertiary qualification in Information Technology.
Politically neutral with no affiliation to political parties or lobbyists/campaigners.
Satisfactory Criminal Record check result.
