Full Job Description

Your new role:
As the Senior Psychologist within the Adult Acute Inpatient Mental Health Unit, you'll provide high-quality psychological assessment and intervention for consumers experiencing acute mental illness while working alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team. You'll also play an important role in developing services, supporting colleagues and driving continuous improvement by:

Delivering evidence-based psychological assessment, intervention and treatment within an acute inpatient setting.
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient-centred care and recovery planning.
Providing clinical supervision, education and support to junior psychologists, students and Allied Health Assistants.
Contributing to service development, quality improvement and research initiatives.
Supporting discharge planning and maintaining strong partnerships with community services.
Applying advanced clinical judgement to manage complex presentations within a fast-paced environment.

About you:
You are an experienced Psychologist who enjoys working collaboratively and is passionate about delivering high-quality mental health care. You'll bring:

General registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist (with relevant accredited Psychology qualifications).
Demonstrated experience providing psychological services within acute or complex mental health settings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills when managing complex consumer presentations.
Experience providing supervision, mentoring or education to clinicians, students or support staff.
A commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous improvement and delivering compassionate, recovery-oriented care.
