Join the Bowral & District Hospital Sterilisation Services team and play a vital role in ensuring safe, high‑quality care by supporting the reprocessing and delivery of sterile equipment across the facility.

Deliver high‑quality sterile services — Provide clean, sterile and disinfected items and equipment to clinical teams across Bowral & District Hospital.
Support daily operations — Assist with daily preparation, stock rotation and control within the operating suite sterile stock room.
Reprocess flexible endoscopes — Carry out safe and compliant reprocessing of flexible endoscopes in the dedicated scope reprocessing room.

Strong WHS and infection control awareness — You understand and consistently apply safe manual handling, WHS requirements and infection control principles essential to the CSSD environment.

Exceptional attention to detail — You bring accuracy, focus and consistency to ensure all sterilisation processes meet required standards and quality objectives.

Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

Certificate II or III in Health Service Assistance (Sterilisation Services) or equivalent & experience working in a Hospital Sterilising Services Department with sound knowledge and understanding of AS 5369: 2023, Infection Prevention and Control and WH&S requirements.
Demonstrated ability to work independently or as an integral team member under the guidance of a Staff Supervisor for the process of complex medical devices including Orthopaedic loan equipment.
Ability to prioritise and communicate workload to achieve quality and timely process outcomes.
Sound communication ability with a high standard of written and verbal skills to ensure effective listening, understanding, and following direction.
