About the role

MacKillop Family Services is seeking an Administration Officer to join our Pilbara team based in South Hedland. This position plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of vital services to vulnerable children, young people and families across the region.

As the Administration Officer, you will be the central point of coordination for a broad range of administrative, reception and business support functions. Working closely with the General Manager, Pilbara, and the wider WA/NT Services team, you will help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our services.

We are looking for someone who is collaborative, adaptable and solutions focused, with strong administrative skills and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

The Administration Officer role is classified at SCHCADS Level 2-3 ($71,571 - $85,798 pa) - dependent on qualifications & experience.

This is an Ongoing Full Time 38 hours per week opportunity (may consider Part Time School based hours) based in South Hedland WA within our Western Australia (WA)/ Northern Territory (NT) Services. The position reports to the Manager for Pilbara & NT.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families
Demonstrated high-level administrative experience.
High skills levels around the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), as well as Outlook and Skype
The ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary, professional team.
A high level of initiative, ability to plan, organise and prioritise work, and work to tight deadlines under pressure.
Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to interpret and implement organisational policy.
