About the Role
Ahrens Mining Services is seeking a qualified Refrigeration Technician to join our team in Port Hedland, WA. This is an exciting opportunity to work across mining operations, carrying out the maintenance, repair and installation of commercial refrigeration systems while contributing to safe and efficient site operations.
Reporting to the Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining refrigeration equipment and ensuring systems operate reliably and efficiently. Working within a collaborative team, you'll deliver high-quality workmanship while maintaining Ahrens' commitment to safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repairs and installation of refrigeration systems.
- Inspect, diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration equipment.
- Service commercial refrigeration equipment, including cool rooms, freezers, ice machines and refrigerated display units.
- Complete preventative maintenance to maximise equipment performance and reliability.
- Coordinate with refrigeration contractors where required.
- Complete maintenance documentation and comply with quality and safety procedures.
Maintain a safe work environment and follow client and company safety requirements.

Skills and Experience
- Relevant Trade Qualification.
- Experience maintaining and repairing refrigeration systems.
- Construction White Card.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience working in remote mining operations. (desirable)
Understanding of material allowances and cost considerations in project execution. (desirable)
