Achieve Something Great
This is a key strategic finance role supporting Fairfield Hospital. As the Finance Business Partner, you will provide high quality financial leadership, analysis, and advice to enable informed decision making, strengthen financial capability, and drive sustainable performance. Working closely with the Director of Finance, service managers, and clinical leaders, you will play a critical role in budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring, and financial governance while contributing to efficiency initiatives and long term service planning.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, solutions focused finance professional with strong business partnering capability and experience operating in a complex service delivery environment. You will be highly skilled in financial analysis, budgeting, and performance reporting, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable advice for operational leaders. You build trusted relationships, confidently influence decision making, and support new and emerging leaders to understand financial drivers and obligations. Experience in health, government, or similarly regulated environments, along with a strong commitment to governance, compliance, and continuous improvement, will see you thrive in this role.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in management, business or accounting or extensive equivalent work.
Describe a time you provided financial analysis or advice that directly influenced operational or strategic decision making. What approach did you take, and what was the outcome?
Outline your experience contributing to efficiency or improvement initiatives (such as an Efficiency Improvement Plan). How did you identify opportunities, manage risks, and engage stakeholders to support sustainable outcomes?
Provide an example of how you have built strong relationships with operational or service managers to improve financial capability, governance, or performance. How did you tailor your approach to meet the needs of different stakeholders?
