Our Mt Waverley facility is home to a dedicated team who value safety, teamwork, and excellence in everything we do.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Sewing Machine Mechanic / Handyman to join our team in Mt Waverley. This role involves servicing and maintaining sewing machines, carrying out preventative maintenance, assisting with installation of machines, and general repair/handyman duties. The position can be permanent part-time or full-time, depending on the right candidate.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Service and repair a wide range of industrial sewing machines.
Conduct preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
Install new machines and ensure proper setup and calibration.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide timely solutions.
Perform general workshop/handyman tasks when required.
Maintain accurate service and repair records.
Ensure a safe, clean, and organised work environment.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience as a sewing mechanic or technician highly regarded.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
Ability to read and follow technical manuals and schematics.
Experience with general workshop tools and handyman duties.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to think laterally and problem solve in a practical, hands-on environment.
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
