Full Job Description

NAVER GROUP PTY LTD, trading as Alan’s Painting, is seeking an experienced Painter to work on residential homes, commercial buildings and other painting projects throughout Sydney.

This is a full-time position offering an annual salary of A$96,000 plus superannuation. The successful applicant will work as part of a professional and well-supported team.

Requirements

Certificate III or Certificate IV in Painting and Decorating, or an equivalent qualification.
At least two years of relevant painting experience.
Strong technical painting and decorating skills.
Excellent attention to detail and precision.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work safely and efficiently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling and applying primers before painting.
Applying paint, varnish, stains and other coatings using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
Mixing and matching paint colours to achieve the required shades and finishes.
Erecting and safely using ladders, trestles, scaffolding and other access equipment.
Applying decorative and protective finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
Maintaining and properly storing painting tools, equipment and materials.
Lifting and carrying paint containers, ladders and other equipment as required.
Completing detailed painting and finishing work to a high professional standard.
Inspecting completed work to ensure surfaces are evenly coated and free from defects.
Protecting surrounding areas, furniture and fixtures before commencing work.
Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, including masks and gloves.
Ensuring adequate ventilation and the safe handling of paints, solvents and hazardous materials.
Complying with workplace health and safety requirements and applicable regulations.
Cleaning painting equipment and maintaining a clean and organised work area.
