About the role

This position is responsible for planning and implementing a nutritional menu for children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age within the Early Learning Centre.

You will be expected to implement a nutritious menu that caters for all dietary requirements of the children. You will also be expected to maintain a hygienic kitchen and maintain all documentation in line with the statutory requirements.

In addition to this you will also be completing below duties:

Display the weekly menu for parents to view.
Attend staff meetings and staff development sessions outside normal working hours as required.
Plan a rotational menu within budget requirements.

About You

The successful candidate should have:

Previous experience planning and implementing a nutritional menu for children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age within an Early Learning Centre
Certificate in Food Handling, Nutrition and Menu Planning.
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Sound knowledge and experience in food preparation, nutritional standards, menu preparation, food hygiene practices & kitchen management.
Demonstrated ability to work within a set budget.
First Aid Certificate (HLTAID0012)

We are offering a 22.5 hour permanent part time opportunity, with an attractive remuneration from $73,172 to $80,554 (pro rata) plus 12% superannuation.
