We are seeking a
Full-Time Cook/Chef to join our Burwood Heights centre and prepare fresh, nutritious meals for children aged 0-5 years.
About the Role
- Full-time position, Monday-Friday (approx. 7:00am-3:00pm)
- Prepare morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea using a rotating menu
- Cater for allergies, dietary requirements, and cultural needs
- Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and storage standards
- Manage food ordering within budget and receive deliveries
- Work with the Centre Director on menu planning
- Engage positively with children and staff throughout the day
About You
- Experience in cooking, hospitality, or commercial kitchen environments (childcare experience desirable)
- Knowledge of food safety and allergy management
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, First Aid, and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Organised, reliable, and passionate about child nutrition and wellbeing
